It is to early to hear it, but they can see it. You will be able to see the

baby, but with no detail. They can see placement, make sure there is only

one, stuff like that. Remember, I had mine at 7 weeks and that was when they

found 2 babies. They don't look like a whole lot, but it is nice to see. You

will be able to see the heart beating on the monitor.

I am kinda under the impression that it depends on insurance coverage as to how

often a doctor (most of them) will or an ultrasound. At my 2nd visit I was

informed that my insurance was very liberal with prenatal visits. I also

thought it was odd that I would have an ultrasound so early. But thats okay...

Made me realize just how fortunate I am to see that little tiny heart beating!!

;o) How far along are you now? How much longer do you have to wait? I am sure

you will be even more excited I am!!!!!

i am 9 weeks. they can use an ultrasound for due date too if you arent sure

of when things happened. i have a hmo too and they are kinda tight.

dont take my jealousies personal....honest. somedays i still wonder if i

really am pregnant because at this stage you dont look or feel like you are.

they are gonna try to hear the heartbeat at my next appt which will make it

more real for me. i have waited soo long for this and get so excited for

all of us. i did finally break down and start baby shopping. i am far

enough along that i feel confident that things will be ok. i was on a

couple web sites and they told me that i am going to have a boy and a couple

weeks ago there was talk here about how to tell if you are going to have a

boy or girl and according to that i am going to have a boy. i went out and

got a boy outfit. i will be very relieved when i have an ultrasound and see

that there is just 1 in there. i wouldnt mind twins but i dont really want

that suprise on the delivery table. i cant wait!!!!

Well I am absolutely positive of my conception day and they moved my due date

back to the 9th instead of the 1st. So I am confused as to how they calculate.

I know the exact date of conception and everything I have read and from what the

nurse said at my last visit the due date is Sept 1st. So how can the ultrasound

say that its different? I plan on asking my dr about it at our next visit on

the 26th.

We have gone baby shopping, but I am too chicken to buy anything yet. Silly I

know. lol

I know for a fact that I conceived on Dec 25th between 6-8am in the morning.

I'm due Sept 16th. You need to count 266 days from the day you conceived

and that's your real due date, not the one the doctor gives you.
