Jim,

I am a newbie that is not taking LDN yet. I have really enjoyed the closeness of this website. I do have mixed feeling in starting LDN but I do feel am getting a good background of info. I would love my gait to improve as well as my overactive bladder. I do not want the mood changes that may happen. I wish I could pick and choose the advantages/disadvantages of LDN. Right now I am without a definite prescribing doctor. I have one that may prescribe and my appointment got cancelled by his office yesterday.

But I do want to thank everyone for their chats that I have read!

Thanks,

-- [low dose naltrexone] question//Blushing?//Off Topic

Well thank you very much sweetheart!

You, Aletha, & Kathy are going to make it so I won't be able to show

myself on the board. My "Macho" image of the Caveman is now all

ruined...sigh...trying to 'project' the manly image of the 'tuff' guy, with

the solitary attitude of being in my 'Cave' and the one who just grabs

the girl and drags her off...sheesh...ruined...sigh. Oh well, I'll have to

work really hard to 're-establish' the now 'tarnished' image. hee hee.

What really pleases me is, seeing all the new(er) people taking the

initiative and reaching out, and helping others. That was what really

touched me in the beginning. , , Tom, , LarryGC,

SammyJo, Aegis, Kiki, and the list goes on...they all did a really great

job in sharing any and all information they had. It's what kept me here.

The board in 'evolving?' as it becomes larger. More people, much

more information, as we get people with different knowledge of all

sorts involved and helping one another. That's what this board is

really all about. Hope, and help, sharing, and being willing to listen,

plus offer encouragement to those just starting and are where we were

in the beginning...scared, and willing to try anything. Been there, done

that. Newbies...just stay plugged in, ask questions, there are NO silly

questions with this. Above all, read all the information about ldn, and

go back over some of the older posts. Lots of info there.

My hats off to you ladies, and all the rest who take the time to comment

and post ideas and share information. We all Need that.

Thank you...All

Jim the Caveman..exposed. sigh

The mood swings you're referring too are not a common side effect,

but it does happen to some. This weekend will mark my 1st month

using LDN, and I haven't experienced one mood swing. In fact I'm

much happier now. I experienced bad mood swings while taking Avonex

and I'm much better now. I wouldn't let the mood swing thought deter

you from trying LDN.

My wife has recently was diagnosed with ppms. She has had symptoms for

just over six years. She is 34 y/o and her major symptom is in her right

leg. It seems to be progressing more rapidly recently. She is on no

medication currently. I was wondering if there are many people with ppms

taking ldn, and has it been helpful. We live in Frederick, Md. Also does

anyone know of any Dr's in the area who will prescribe ldn. She is being

treated by a Dr at Hopkins, I emailed him about the ldn and he has not

responded. I appreciate any feedback, pos. or neg.

Thanks,

Hi ,

I don't think most people do not have mood swings. I would not worry about that, unless it happens. It was never mentioned as an issue before recently. And once we get on an issue it gets pretty well explored until you think it is bigger than it is.

Don't sweat it Jim. A real man is confident enough in his masculinity

Welcome !

Just keep plugged in to the group. The people here are wonderful,

and willing to help. If you don't have the 'welcome' package yet,

maybe Aletha would be kind enough to send it to you. She is a real

treasure, and has put together an information package that should be

of help for you. Questions? Ask and the board will respond!

is out there and has a ton of info and experience Bruce is a Cancer

survivor and has a 'boatload' of info for that, and the list goes on,

with a 'host' of people that have been here much longer than I and

much more knowledgeable. :-) Ask away!

But I do want to thank everyone for their chats that I have read!

Wes, Tom,

Thank you guys!

It's nice to 'hear' a friendly voice now and then. Keeps me on the sane

side of the line, I think. <grin>

Glad to report I'm feeling pretty darned good today. Slept for a full 6

hours last night!!! Been averaging 3 - 3 1/2 hours sleep (literally)

since my shoulder surgery the 21st of March...with an occasional nap

in the afternoons...maybe...maybe...about 1/2 of the time frame above.

House hubby chores are calling...dishes, pick-up/clean-up, broom work,

make the wife's bed, plus a 'host' of other 'stuff' that needs completion.

Cap'n Caveman to the rescue!!! Unchained, and in Action!!!

(coming to a theatre near you) ????

Yes, like Kathy said, I'm 'domesticated' housebroken, caring, affectionate,

and any other fabrications you can imagine. Found out one crucial

thing...the person doing the cooking...(hee hee)...controls the menu!!!

Hey Jim,

It's this new hi-tech society that has foiled you. Your image is still intact.........any self respecting cave person knows that the first thing a cave man will do is guard and protect his lair.
