We did have when we moved here close to 20 years ago, but it has long since been replaced with 'garden' both front and back. :-) All her design, and it's really quite beautiful! Long hours, hard work, mostly by her. It's her 'stress' relief valve, and that's fine by me. Whatever makes her happy. The business she works for has been in Sunset magazine, and does a lot of the 'high-end' projects around here in the Valley. A lot of the dairymen & women come to them for their yard/house designs and wow...some of them...wish they'd adopt me. <grin> really nice places. Right after being diagnosed with MS, I continued to work until it was almost impossible. Started falling down and passing out and that's not good in the construction industry (Ma Bell). Was, a Cable Splicer/Locator when all this started...finally had to give in and call it quits. Went steadily downhill until I found LDN, and it gave me some of my life back. Was having to use a cane, and she had to push me in a wheelchair for any distance...it was at this time, she 'decided' to go Nuts about garage-sales/selling? My garage bears testimony to that. During the two year stretch I was incapacitated...she took advantage and kinda 'filled' up my, yes MY garage...the house, yard, and whatever else is ALL hers, and she took my garage...the garage was my Cave, my place of 'retreat' to work in and de-stress, calm down after work etc. Soo, hmmm, it's ok though, I forget things easily so no problems? After ldn, I have 'almost' completely recovered. I no longer need the wheel- chair, and don't need a cane. Still have extreme fatigue, and weakness, really sensitive to the heat and very cold temps, but if that's all, I'll take it. <grin> She now says I need a 'hobby'....huh??? I can 'see' my workbench from across the garage, just wonder 'how to' get to it. ;-( Enjoy woodworking & metal working, fix-it projects and the like. Be nice if I had some 'room' to work in, but everything out there is a 'treasure' and soon...she'll have yet 'another' garage sale and get rid of some more stuff...(I hope) ha. Sooo, that's the 'story' of my life...not bad considering, and I'll stop right there. So now you know...my Cave is all a 'Sham'...it's all filled up...but I can still hide away in the closet...it's nice to have a place where everyone knows your name, and the voices aren't really all that bad. All the singing is what's driving me nuts. hee hee hee... ??? Have a Great Day all! Sorry for the length of this, and will be 'awhile' before I post any tidbits of ??? lost the train of thought...sigh...means it's time to go. Cap'n Caveman? Guest guest
Heyya Cap'n Caveman, I soooo hear you about the garage. My husband and I were both into industries that required plenty of tooling and garage storage.....The garage was the place for me to dissappear when the kids were busy screaming 'mom' just for the sake of saying it. (I truely believe this is THE reason why women are struck with MS more than men)..However during my most down time, he fills it with so much crap that I have to clean it just to find a speck of dust. Haaaaaa I drag my knuckles then trip over all the crap on the floor. Now if I can just find my phillips head screw driver to screw this door shut.....get this stuff outa my way and build a hut out back next to the bears cave (it refuses to share the cave with me) and finally have a hiding spot of my own. Oh I hear you. W2 --- jsgarvin <jsgarvin@...> wrote: > Crystal, Bruce, and anyone that doesn't mind the > reading: :-) > > Wife is absolutely wonderful! Anyone who knows her, > knows this > is true.
