Guest guest
I was so upset about seeing all these article about people buying this stuff and brewing it up in their kitchens --I want to make sure it in included in our documentary-that people want this so badly and they cannot get it. There should no reason in the world not to get this from a participating pharmacy and it would seem to be not just dangerous but irresponsible for anyone to promote the home brew. One thing we do a lot is when people call they want to know who in their area prescribes this and we can look it up in our data base so what one can do is decide what compounder they want and ask them who in their area prescribes. They're having trouble getting a Script from their Doctor. If you have trouble getting a script let us know so we can get the name of a Doctor in your area. Guest guest
Actually, I appreciate that Jay and was afraid that was the case. DARN FDA. How bout this, I don't want this to be drawn out. Can I just get a physician who will prescribe in Minnesota? Anything you have will be more than helpful. My mom is starting to see a new doctor on the 26th and my hunch is they will look at her like a freak. Might as well avoid that. SO YEZ PLZ, Minnesota. She lives in Lakeville. Let me know if you need any more info! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! (((wendy))) PS-It's to bad that everyone has to go thru this and order online but I understand why. Its just not right but here is what IM not following, Why would you order online if : 1) The pharmacies that do the compounding only charge 38.00 for a script of 30? It is way more than that on the internet? Jay & Beth Vaccaro <jaynbeth@...> wrote: ,> 2) Is the home receipe being done because your doctor isnt cooperating> with the LDN therapy? Guest guest
I was fortunate enough to be able to talk my neuro into prescribing LDN for me. I order it by phone from Park Irmat in NY.(I am in Calif) But if he did not prescribe this for me . I'd be stuck like many others and I would probably try to get it from mexico.Since I am in a wheelchair and can't drive, I cant really go down to Mexico athough it's not far from me, about a 2 hour drive, so I would order it online. Also it seems to be a lot cheaper to order those 50 mg tabs and dissolve them in water, etc.than ordering the 3 mg caps from a pharmacist. So mainly the reason ppl order online is as Cyndi said, because they cannot find a doctor who wil lprescribe this and maybe also because of cost. many of us wit hMS are not able to work anymore and are living on very little. Nola [low dose naltrexone] Question, online pharmacy/naltrexone I have seen where you guys are ordering home delivered naltrexone. Additionally I have seen where there is a "home receipe?" Can you please:1) Tell me why your ordering online for the naltexrone? (Are you having problems getting it from the pharmacies listed on the website who compound LDN?)2) Is the home receipe being done because your doctor isnt cooperating with the LDN therapy? Guest guest
I understand Nola. Sorry it has to be that way. I wish they would get more progressive but understand that it just doesn't pay for the FDA to get involved because they arent "making money." Guest guest
Maybe you need to know this, Cyndi. Guest guest
Whoa, I'm completely cool. Maybe I came across wrong. I wasn't intending to point any fingers. As a business owner myself, I know that sometimes what employees are doing is unknown to management. I was simply informing Cyndi that our experience at doing what she suggested didn't work. It had been suggested by others on this forum to me, specifically, to call Skip's to find a doctor that will prescribe LDN for MS in Wisconsin. In fact, , my wife, said she felt somewhat belittled by the person with whom she spoke. No harm, no foul, we found another way. I think Cyndi coming around this forum lately is fantastic. It truly seems she wants to help. Because I believe she wants to help, I felt the need to inform her of my experience with her pharmacy. Through no fault of hers, I'm sure, the person who answered the phone that day was of no help to us. I am correct, Cyndi, that you are (co)-owner of Skip's? If not, disregard . Guest guest
I'm very glad you told me--its been dealt with already. We may have had someone new that didn't understand the whole thing--that's what I meant --it was reinforced. In fact being here has really helped me to find out how things work since I'm not physically in there most of the time. I have the best job in the world -it outreach and seeing all these things and bringing it back--we are very involved in our community local and online. I asked to generate a list of doctors so it can readily available to me --i had no idea about a lot of this stuff. I'm going to have to give you guys lessons on assertive behavior at the doctors. I don't have ms but I totally understand what your going through-- i have quite a few situations in the last few years when I wanted something specific either a prescription or a certain blood test and it was like pulling teeth untill I just said " Look this may or maybe what I need but I refuse to take what you want." Guest guest
This also really upsets me because people ordering this stuff online and brewing it up in their kitchens not knowing what their doing. Also how do you really know that your getting what you ordered?? I would never order ANY kind of medication online at all because you never know what your getting. I totally agree with Cyndi with all of this..... Guest guest
yes anytime and get names --that way i can torture them (Only kidding) . i love the good but need to hear about the bad stuff. how can you improve if you don't know. as far as the conference goes --i'm so happy we did this -- i had no idea how important it would be-- just being there and meeting all these people and especially Anne Bradley-- who wrote such a wonderful book and works so hard every day to get the word out. Her book so inspired me to finish this dvd asap but to really dig in for this documentary. dr crowly said during his interview with me that he thinks one day that doctors will not get in trouble for not offering LDN as a treatment. and he has this great line in this lovely Irish lilt he said " There was a day when scientist thought the earth was flat. That was proved wrong." he is so amazing and so is 's brother Dr Phil Boyle. and it was nice to meet Dr Gluck and his son . all these folks are so committed . It would be so easy in life to just say screw it and not care but all these folks do and they make our world a better place.just to give you an update on the video -I finished capturing the video yesterday and gave it to Adam-he will create these small video clips that will be put on the LDN web page. and i appreciate people appreciating me being herecyndiOn Apr 18, 2006, at 7:16 PM, Wesley wrote: Like I said, it's no problem with me and I think you contributing here and with the conference is great, above and beyond. Guest guest
Hi all, This is a little late, but yesterday I never read any of these messages entitled, "Question, online pharmacy/naltrexone." I just wanted to add that on Monday, the 17th, I called Skip's pharmacy, even though I don't get my LDN filled there, and said, "I just wanted to ask some questions about some side effects of LDN," and the lady said, "just a minute," and right away Skip came to the phone and talked to me at length about the side effects of LDN I was inquiring about and even talked a little bit about things that were mentioned at the conference. I just wanted to add this because the conversation was helpful to me. Annette
Guest guest
I really appreciate all this wonderful news--i think what happened with Wesley's wife was one those wrong place/wrong time things. we have pharmacy students and they could have been new and just didn't understand. at any rate it was dealt with by Skip when I told him and he assured me that would never happen again-he was mortified. the good thing that came out of the whole thing is I actually looked into this --do people call asking for doctors and found out they were looking to generate an easy access list for people when people do call. so that's very positive. since the conference I'm really curious about a few thing--like how many people take ldn for ms, krohns, cancer and other things and would the topics at the conference been interesting to you and if not if there was another one what would make it interesting enough , the person that chaired the conferace did a fabulous job and she is thinking of branching out to regional and even local conferances. I like the idea of videoconferencing also because I know its hard and very expensive for people to get on a plane pay for a hotel etc.but on the other hand its just really inspiring to be in the same room and talk to all these people. I would love to see an MS LDN conference with other things for folks with MS--and not these BS things that are sponsored by big drugs companies- but really life issues being dealt with -like what kind services can you get or what kind of jobs can you get or where can you when you just need someone to talk to-- you tell me. cyndi Re: [low dose naltrexone] Question, online pharmacy/naltrexone Hi all, This is a little late, but yesterday I never read any of these messages entitled, "Question, online pharmacy/naltrexone."
