Guest guest
Hi everyone, Just wanted to give you all an update on what's happening with Micah. We put him on Periactin, a week ago this past Sunday. What a difference! He actually likes to eat, Ive never seen him like this, he is even using yum-yum, he had never expressed any pleasure regarding food! We are only giving him 3 tube feedings at night, the rest of his calories he gets po during the day. He has gained back a pound. Now back up to 26. 6oz. He's sleeping well again, and he's back to his sweet self! Everyone is soooo much happier now that Micah is happy again. Thank you all for your help and encouragement. Guest guest
Way to Go !!!!!! And Way to Go Micah!!!!!! It's soooo nice to hear some good news. I'm THRILLED that your household is back to it's old self. Makes you appreciate those times when all is quiet on the homefront, huh! Well, continue doing what you are doing, and that is " being a great mom " ! Guest guest
, What wonderful news! I'm so glad to hear that Micah has responded so well to Periactin and that you stuck with your feelings about what was best for him and your family. " Yum-Yum " -- put that one in his baby book!! By the way, what food was he saying yum-yum to? Guest guest
Hi Dennise, He's been saying yum-yum about a few things, but the first time was on Thanksgiving, and that was green bean casserole. I gave him 1/4c. at a time, and he asked for 4 helpings! We couldn't believe what we were seeing. He also ate turkey, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie, but the green beans were his favorite. It was so funny.... when we gave him his bath after dinner he actually had a pot belly, Id never seen it pooch out before, formula doesn't do that, if he'd been wearing a belt he would have had to undo it a notch or two!
