Hey, Kris-

I understand your need to try to diagnose yourself - it's

nervewracking not knowing.

In my short pg experience, Cole was only ever on one side of my

septum...I didn't know I had the septum but questioned several times

why the baby was always on one side...it felt completely soft on one

side and hard on the other. Now I know why!

My septum is not all the way to my cervix, but it's very thick.

Perhaps in a smaller septum, the baby can stretch around it. I'm

sure that's what must happen in successful SU pregnancies.

Try to relax - you're doing great and have just about reached

viability!!!! woohooo!

Hi ,

congrats on making it to the 24 wk mark!

sorry to bum you out, but I think either kind of uterus can be that

way. My mom (big SU) had my brother in a transverse position,

lying under the septum (which they didn't know about). A BU can

be the same; I've heard from BU women here that the baby can

lie with head in one horn and legs in the other horn.

I actually think that, although this will mean a C-section for you if

she stays that way, that this is good news. Esp. for if you end up

to be SU, transverse lie can be a very " safe " position as far as

making it to full term. My brother, for example, went to 39 weeks

in a transverse lie.

Good luck!!!

I am not sure about that but I have a septate uterus and am 17 weeks 2 days

today and I have noticed that my baby is totally on the right side also, but

I have a complete septum all the way to the cervix so who knows what will

happen. My Dr. told me that the baby usually pushes the septum out of the

way somewhat so maybe that is happening. Good luck!
