Guest guest
Yes, as far as I know, disability means you are unable to work. When you apply for SSD, they decide how much you'll get based on past earnings. Depending on what job you have, there are other types of disability, like short-term, long-term, etc. My husband had a workmen's comp injury to his knee a couple years ago. His surgeon declared him 5% permanently disabled in his knee which awarded him a nice cash settlement at the end of the whole ordeal. Too bad it can't work that way with FM. Jeanne in WI A dumb question--- about disability Hey guys, I think I understand correctly when I say you cannot be working currently and apply for any kind of disability. Am I right? Just curious. I thought that was the way it works. Thanks, Debra V. __________________________________________________
