Guest guest
Anette Most people need about 50% as much Magnesium as Calcium from all sources. Most people are Magnesium deficient. Folks like me with significant muscle spasms may need equal amounts of Magnesium as Calcium. Magnesium should be taken alone, not with Calcium. I take 200 to 400 mg of Magnesium three to four times a day. .Vitamin B6 is Mg's cofactor, helps make it work. Here is a good website on Magnesium. There are a couple of others, also. www.mgwater.com Hope this helps mjh Date: Sat, 15 Apr 2006 15:55:16 EDT From: annette464@...Subject: Re: Digest Number 1963I've just been doing the 1000 mg of Calcium at night. How much Magnesium would you recommend?? I have heard it can be helpful, but don't know how much to take maximum in a 24 hour period. I suggest you crush it and dissolve in hot water, cool it down a bit and drink it. mjh"The Basil Book"http://foxhillfarm.us/FireBasil/
Guest guest
Magnesium does not cause diarrhea -- a disease problem -- but it can cause loose stools. That's why I suggest taking small doses several times daily to get the absorbtion benefit without the loose stools.
