Anette

Most people need about 50% as much Magnesium as Calcium from all sources. Most people are Magnesium deficient.

Folks like me with significant muscle spasms may need equal amounts of Magnesium as Calcium. Magnesium should be taken alone, not with Calcium.

I take 200 to 400 mg of Magnesium three to four times a day. .Vitamin B6 is Mg's cofactor, helps make it work.

Here is a good website on Magnesium. There are a couple of others, also.

www.mgwater.com

Hope this helps

Magnesium oxide is poorly absorbed. I suggest you crush it and dissolve in hot water, cool it down a bit and drink it.

Magnesium does not cause diarrhea -- a disease problem -- but it can cause loose stools. That's why I suggest taking small doses several times daily to get the absorbtion benefit without the loose stools.
