I know you are right. It's just really difficult, as I'm sure you know, to

find a doc that knows anything about rp. This one came highly recommended;

and, at first, I was really impressed, but the more I have learned about rp

from this group, the less impressed I become with my dr. I guess when I

first started seeing her, I just believed whatever she told me, because no

other dr. had even been able to diagnose the rp. Someday, if I can get the

energy, I'll start looking for another dr.

This month has been a little rough for me. My brother had a heart attack 3

weeks ago. They put a stent in his heart. A week later he got an infection

and spent another week in the hospital, so I was there with him most of the

time, and he got out of the hospital Wednesday. Today (Thursday) my sister

and I took our cousin to lunch for her birthday. She slipped and fell in the

restaurant. The ambulance took her to the E.R., so I spent my whole

afternoon and most of the evening in the hospital with her. She didn't break

anything, thank God, but she will have to be on crutches / wheelchair for at

least two weeks. I got home from the hospital and had a message from my

grandson's school nurse. His blood sugar was sky high, and they didn't know

what to do. Had another message from the Assisted Living home where my Dad

is. (He has Alzheimers. I am his primary caregiver and try to go see him

everyday.) They say I now need to get someone to stay with him from 7 a.m.

til 7 p.m. At $6 an hour (and I'm not even sure I can get someone for that

fee) it's going to cost an additional $2,800 per month in addition to the

$2,275 per month I'm paying for the Assisted Living home.

I sound as if I'm really complaining, and I'm not. I just don't, at this

time, have the energy to look for another dr. for myself. I'm extremely worn

out and it seems that with each new day comes a new set of problems. As

Mother once said, " I've heard that God gives us only what we can

handle, but sometimes I wish He wasn't quite so confident of me. "

I'll quit griping now. I DO love this group, and don't know what I'd do

without you all.

I enjoyed talking to you tonight...... I pray that you will not get a flare

and that things will be better.

I like you at times look up in the sky and say please God, I've had all I can

take....but apparently at times he doesn't agree.....but I know he sees the

whole picture and I don't. I do know one thing if we all hadn't gotten this

weird illness out paths may never have crossed and that would have been such

a shame. I truly feel blessed to have met you online.

Then your special!!!! Wow, I understand where your coming from with no more

energy. Sweetie, you'll be in my prayers, and if God wants you to be his

caregiver, we'll have to put it back in the Lord's ball park, and let Him and

provide a way for you. He wants us to learn to lean on him. I'm sorry about

your brother. My brother is barely hanging on. I hope things get better for

you and that it will all work out. Take care of yourself, as you can't do

anything for them, if your down.

you do have a lot on your plate, but think about it everything you mentioned

was for someone else... What good will you do these people if your down? NONE

so by helping yourself and taking care of yourself you will be helping your

family by staying vital

I'm glad your daughter is OK. We moms are so protective of our own, I know

the feeling. I got a call from school 2 years ago that had been hit

in the head by a flying jar of baby food. She a a huge knot on her head and

I had to keep a close eye on her for 24 hours. Scared the ahjeebies out of

me.

Next time, tell us when it happens girl. If you need us, we're here. Nuff

said.
