Guest guest
Hi Kathleen and all: I saw your recent post about the 3D CT Scan. I am very interested in learning more about this works. I had my 2nd ACM surgery on 7-31-01 and am due to have my follow-up appointment with Dr. Oro on November 6th. Before I see him, I am supposed to have an MRI and a 3D CT Scan. This is all good and fine, but before my 2nd surgery I was having problems with restricted flow around the tonsils and this was found with the CINI flow study. Had it not been for the flow study, I would probably never have been a candidate for a 2nd surgery as the MRI did not show anything really wrong. My question to you and the group is this: If there is still any restricted flow, shouldn't I have another flow study done or will the 3D CT Scan pick up this too??? I have been told that the 3D CT shows the bone construction. I'm a little confused as to why I'm not having another flow study done at the same time that I have the follow-up MRI. I plan to e-mail Dr. Oro before my tests, but wanted input from you and the group. Thanks, Kathy in MO
