Guest guest
This guy is driving me nuts. I thought he was saying " pressor support " which, per Vera, I have a macro that expands it to vasopressor support. But, here's the sentence: " I have placed the patient on " pressor support " wean and after some initial increased distress, she appears to be comfortable. Currently " pressor support " of 12 and PEEP of 5, she is maintaining tidal volumes in the 500 range, respiratory rate in the low 20s, and ventilation in the 10 liter range. " He goes on to talk about checking blood gases. If it means anything, this patient is status post gastric bypass and had respiratory problems after her extubation following surgery, so they reintubated her. Any help is appreciated. Sheesh, it's Monday and I'm brain dead. Jan " Typing is my life " (said sarcastically) Remember... WSTPMTR (which means, whoever signs the paycheck makes the rules). Guest guest
Hello MGrant@... (Margaret Grant), In reference to your comment: è Jan, In this case it would be pressure support, as it is è having to do with the ventilator settings. When trying è to wean someone from the ventilator, they lower the è pressure support settings. Margaret PS Monday can è be such a confuzzling day, that's why I start working è on Sunday. MG Thanks Margaret.. you just saved me about 5 errors in this report Poop,, now I wonder if I've put the wrong thing before. :/ I see your point about Sunday versus Monday, but I prefer to be off on Sunday since my hubby is off on Sunday, and then muddle through Monday. Unfortunately, I usually end up having such a bad day that I end up working Saturday to catch up <sigh> . Jan " Typing is my life " (said sarcastically) Remember...
