,

I think it would depend largely on what cereal and how much, but I

think you are also smart to track more closely for a feew days to

see if it was a one shot thing.

Hang in there...

I had a honey oat flakes with almonds... 3/4 cup is 27 carbs.. with skim

milk... I probably had 1 cup of cereal with milk... no sweetener was used

at all.... box says 3/4 is the serving size..

I was still at 195 (12:30pm) when I left for my appt in another town... and

when I arrived I checked my sugars again (2:15pm) and I was down to 77... I

had a fish filet sandwich from 's for lunch... (which was after my appt

at 3pm) I just checked now at 6:40 and I was at 124 so right now I am back

to where I normally run.... so maybe those other numbers were just flukes

for me... I will still monitor more closely this week to make sure ..

What type of cereal and how big a serving. alot of those are only 1/2 c or

2/3 serving size. kashi (puffed) has 13 g per cup with 2 g fiber and .5

fat 3g protein. 70 calories not too bad with artificial sweetner. kashi

go lean is 3/4 c 28 with 10 fiber although 7 sugar itself and protein 8g at

120 cals. good cereal also lots of fiber.

I think it was just a one shot thing, but will still monitor more closely

the next few days.... my numbers came back down later this afternoon...

around 2:15 I was at 77 .. the cereal I ate was one I have eaten before with

no problem.... but I was high when I got up this morning which I am usually

not....
