Guest guest
Hi Everybody I haven't really been e-mailing anyone. I've just read a lot from everyone. I had my first decompression surgery on July 25th ACM 1 no syrinx after my neo found it the last part of May. What a surprise! Needless to say I had never heard of it. I wasn't in pain from that I had a pinch nerve that had been giving me trouble. That was why I had the MRI done. But I found out why I was having trouble swallowing, leaning when I walked, ear aches, pain in the jaw, and feeling so tired no matter how much sleep I got for the past 5 years. Anyway I had the surgery (with the Patch ) I woke up with terrible headache and muscle spasm. Which of course eased up with pain meds. I left the hospital 4 days later not feeling great but good for about 2 weeks. The third was bad. The headaches & muscle spasm so bad that I didn't want to move then I started vomiting. I was sent to the ER on August 17th I remember 1 MRI (I had 3 more & 3 CT's) and then nothing else till that Sunday evening when they did emergency surgery. Guess what guys my patch was gone. My body had did away with it. So my neo took the thin skin between my skull and skin and made the patch. I have been doing great. My neo said the last MRI I had when I had my stitches out showed that their was plenty of room for both stem & spinal column and that all the fluids were great. I go back in 2 Months for him to see me again. I just want to thank everybody for the information that you gave. And Chip for your Web site. It helped me to know what question to ask my Doctor. And to thank God that I had Doctor that knew what he was doing. GOD BLESS YOU ALL CINDY __________________________________________________ Terrorist Attacks on U.S. - How can you help?
