Guest guest
Hello Everybody, My surgery is now a week away, 7/11. I wear my hair short and will shave the back of my head the night before. My question is, and it may sound stupid, does the hair grow back over the incision site? With having short hair there is really no other way to hide it. I know my hair should be the least of my concerns right now, but I am thinking about it none the less. Thanks in advance for your replies. in Columbus, Ohio ACM I 20mm w/syrinx Surgery pending 7/
Guest guest
, The nurse will shave only what's needed about the size of your driver's license (maybe not that much) and you can discuss how much before she/he cuts it. And the hair will grown back over the incision...fast. I am 4 weeks post-op as of 7/4 and that portion of the inicision in the hair area is already covered with new hair. Guest guest
, I got the Marine style " high & tight " (very short on the top, and close on the sides. It did a few things for me. 1) Don't have to worry about shampoo for a couple of weeks. 2) No funny looking stripe up the back of my head. 3) The nurse said it was easier to take the sutures out. I am 4 weeks post op and the hair has grown in nicely. By the way, it grows in around the incision but not through the actual scar tissue. If your scar is same it should be barely noticable. You can see my scar up to the hair line and that's about it. jp, va beach, acm1 7mm, 4 weeks post op > Hello Everybody, > > My surgery is now a week away, 7/11.
