Guest guest Posted February 8, 2004 Report Share Posted February 8, 2004 In addition to many other suggestions, my healthcare provider has instructed me to check my glucose level 2 hours following a meal. Sometime (like TODAY), I really want to eat something BEFORE that 2 hours has gone by and the urge is so strong that I can't concentrate on doing things to pass the time. Is there any shorter length of time following a meal that would give a TRUE reading so that I would not have to wait the full 2 hours? If I flub the current test, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to want to test after a later meal either. My healthcare provider told me I only need to test once a day for now.
