You could have a cup of hot tea or part of a diet soda or something with no

carbs. That would not affect your bg's.

In addition to many other suggestions, my healthcare provider has instructed me

to check my glucose level 2 hours following a meal.

Sometime (like TODAY), I really want to eat something BEFORE that 2 hours has

gone by and the urge is so strong that I can't

concentrate on doing things to pass the time.

Is there any shorter length of time following a meal that would give a TRUE

reading so that I would not have to wait the full 2 hours? If

I flub the current test, it doesn't necessarily mean I'm going to want to test

after a later meal either. My healthcare provider told me I

only need to test once a day for now.

Thanks for listening.
