Guest guest
What did you do to change all that? What did the metformin do making you sick what symptoms. I am on it also along with avandia Colleen News I was diagnosed in December 2003, and I just went back to the doctor on Monday and he did blood work on me. He called me yesterday to tell my that my a1c score is now 6.5 (was 9.5), my cholestrol is now 189 (was 212) and my triglycerites (sp?) is now 90 (was 436). I am so excited. He changed my medicine to Metformin ER (the time release) and that does not make me sick like the regular Metformin does. I have increased my exercising. I just wanted to share my exciting news. Hope everyone has a great day and weekend. Diabetes homepage: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/diabetes/ To unsubscribe to this group, send an email to: diabetes-unsubscribe Hope you come back soon! Guest guest
The metformin gave me horrible stomach aches. This time release form doesn't seem to upset my stomach at all. To make this change, I have been only eating at the most 3 carbs at breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don't eat any snacks. If I do, it is usually cucumbers or carrots with dip or may an orange. I have also been walking a mile on my treadmill once a day. I am now up to a mile and a half. Now the nutritionist has cut my calories to 1500 a day (500 a meal)with again no snacks. Although I have done so well. I fell great about it, I still feel frustrated about what I can and cannot eat, but I guess I will get over that as it has only been about 2 months. I used to drink soda (Dr. Pepper) all the time and now, I can only have diet which just is not the same. > What did you do to change all that? > What did the metformin do making you sick what symptoms. > I am on it also along with avandia > Colleen > News > > > I was diagnosed in December 2003, and I just went back to the doctor > on Monday and he did blood work on me.
