You may want to try a smaller amount of oatmeal and also have some protein with it, then test two hours later. If you are sick, that could be the reason you are getting higher bg's. Guest guest
Thanks, I truly think this diabetes is making me ill.My sugar has stayed at 300 for 3 weeks.I actually got it down to 222 tonight but i have HORRIBLE waves of nausea, especially right after taking my diabetes pills.I am following this SO close, too;( Very frustrated! I barely eat so portion is less than 1/2 cup oatmeal.Maybe i will try only protein as in Atkins...did that one in '71 and got very skinny! Twenty more lbs & i may be there,again... Today less than 1/2 cup oatmeal, splenda & skim milk 25 assorted nuts for lunch & 2 skim stringy cheese thingys for dinner... Still at 222;( (plus 4 liters of water) I'm at a loss.Need an endo DR as soon as they return from the Holidays;(( so i can get a referral.Wrong time for a diagnosis! Love & ...nauseus,lol Thanks, Tara;) > > Hi Tara, > Eat one of the bars, then test 2 hours later.
