Guest guest Posted September 1, 2004 Report Share Posted September 1, 2004 Hi folks; I just discovered my sugars are too high, likely from stress which cannot be resolved and so I have to live with it. I was prescribed Metformin and took one and almost called 911 the next morning. I wonder if it was the drug or something else. I couldn't even describe exactly how horrible I felt and thus I thought to ask people here if they ever had strange side effects from any of these sugar pills and which ones were the easiest to tolerate. At this point I am so depressed I almost don't care if I die quickly. I get no help with this from anybody at home or anyone for that matter. I have a wife who is totally oblivious to this problem and doesn't want to know about it and so in the mornings, when I can't function very well at all, I must wait until she decides to help me by bringing me something to eat and water as I am in a fog and find it difficult to walk.
