Hi & welcome to the group!

I can't speak for everyone, but my rheumatologist put me on a low dose of

Zoloft (50mg/day) to bring up my serotonin levels in an effort to lower my

pain threshold and improve my energy levels. So far, it seems to be

helping some, but we may want to bump up the dosage to 75mg or so with the

cold rains of winter coming on. (I'm a human barometer & get a lot of pain

as the storms move in from the ocean.)

For me, yoga practice & trying to get enough good rest & sleep are

paramount. I take melatonin most nights and it helps. Some days, though, I

live on Aleve, and it's not enough, but I'm reluctant to get started on Rx

pain meds (a personal hang-up of mine - I have a very addictive

personality). I must stress to you, though, that compared to a lot of

folks on this board, my symptoms are mild. I'm able to work full-time, my

DH and I are building a house in the rainforest, and I work out at the gym

4 days/week. We also hike in the mountains. He has his own challenges

(BPD), but I'm lucky to have him - he's a wonderful, sensitive partner who

takes good care of me. (And I, him!)

Take care,

D.
