Guest guest
There are many doctors that say that fibro. is not new, it just had a different name. I tend to believe that, as my grandmother struggled with " rheumatizim " (sp) her whole life, just as I suffer from fibro. So, there are many theories about the beginning of both fibro. and CFS. But you look back in history, and you read about this or that person that took to thier bed for a year or two years. Could that be CFS? They have also found some gene markers that tell them for sure that it runs in families, so in my mind that just confirms that it has probably been around for a very long time. When something is genetic, it couldn't be all that new, could it? Just a thought. Kellie If logic tells us that life is a meaningless accident, don't give up on life, give up on logic. If logic tells you that in the long run nothing you do makes a difference, then don't live in the long run. Life is a series of moments--to live each one is to succeed. Question? Morning Group. Gountback here; Does anyone happen to know who was the first person diagnosed with Fibromyalgia? It may just be me? Love Gountback.

Guest guest
Gountback Did they call it Fibrositis back then? They did for me. I think I actually was the first diagnosed in my area. The Doctors and Therapist were excited to see me but didn't have a clue what to do for me. I had to go to the Ottawa ( capital of Canada) to get a doctor to diagnose me. It took me three yrs to get to that doctor and then she took off to a better job in Switzerland. " bummer " " ph S. " wrote: Evening Good People. Gountback here; I was diagnosed in 1982. Guest guest
I go to get rxs monthly or more often and several by mail order. My rheum I see every 4 months, same as GI doc. Others at least every 6 months. Debbie J > > > > > > > I was wondering how many times a year each of us visits a doctor for > > our fibromyalgia related symptoms? I have fibro, endo, asthma, allergies, GERDS, IBS, and a few others, but don't go see doctors nearly that often! Of course, at this point, my meds seemed to be settled, so that may be why. Are you going in for them to change your medicines each time or to get prescriptions? If you want to say, that is. Darcy
