Hi Gail,

We eat lunch at Ruby Tuesday's about once or twice a month. I usually get

the 1/2 sandwich and salad bar. Since a side comes with the sandwich, I had

been getting the broccoli. I now get the mashed cauliflower. It is really

good.

On Saturday I went Christmas shopping and then out to lunch with a

friend to a Ruby Tuesday's Restaurant. They have a whole page of new

low carb selections on the menu now, with a brief summary of why some

people on different meal plans would follow a low carb routine. They

had 6 or 7 different wraps, including burgers, turkey, chicken.

There were also 6 -7 other more traditional choices. I had Cajun

grilled chicken breast, with steamed brocolli, and mashed

cauliflower. All of the selections came with brocolli and

cauliflower. The chicken was good, and not too spicy, and the

cauliflower was yummy. I had never had it prepared this way before,

but I know people on this list have mentioned it several times as a

alternative to potatoes. The menu said the whole meal had 9 carbs,

and most of the selections seemed to be in the 7-13 carb range. My

friend, who had a bacon cheeseburger and french fries, both dripping

in catsup, was not impressed with my plate of food when it came- her

first reaction was, " but the servings are so small!! "

But in reality, it was her meal that was too big! The piece of

chicken was the " deck of cards " size the dieticians tell us about, so

it was in perfect proportion. And she was not impressed by the

brocolli, which she calls mini-trees. So it was good eating, if

anyone gets a chance to check it out,

gail
