? about IUGR, US, etc (pg ment)

Hello ladies,

I have a UU and am 31-1/2 weeks pg. My last US was at 22 weeks. I

am wondering about IUGR now. I'm being seen by a group of high-risk

doctors, and it seems they all have different opinions. One dr told

me I need 3rd trimester US to watch out for IUGR and another said my

belly is growing which indicates the baby is growing, so I DON'T need

another US.

Well, isn't there a concern with IUGR about assymetrical growth? And

is that determined by measuring fundal height and mother's weight

gain alone? And what about low amniotic fluid? I've heard more and

more about this lately, parenting magazines and shows like Birth Day

and Maternity Ward, etc. Can that also be determined without US? I

have another week to go before my next appt, so I'm trying to gather

up some info before then. Thanks so much!
