Guest guest
I wish I knew how to watch the Iron I am on my Dr. told me to take this brand and right now I am on only one pill a day. I am taking some NOW® Super Enzyme for my low acid in my stomach and this is helping with my heartburn and reflux I am hoping this will help with the low Iron also. The way I found out my pituitary is the problem was I went on 500 IU's of HCG 3 x's a week after the 15th shot we tested my levels and they doubled. At the time I had been on Testosterone meds for 23 yrs. and this shuts down your testis from making it. My testis were the size of small grapes now they are back to there normal size. This is when we started treating my low Cortisol, Thyroid and Aldosterone levels. Then the low iron so this is the best I have felt in 23 yrs. The HCG acts like LH and makes your testis make testosterone if they are any good. Guest guest
Welcome- Sorry it has been tough. The sweating is natural at the beginning and should balance out after a week or two, their bodies just need time to adjust. I dressed my son in as little as possible (shorts and t-shirt jammies to sleep, short sleeves when everyone else was wearing long, etc.) and he was fine after about 9 or 10 days. Hang in there! Guest guest
Hi-- I'm so sorry to hear that your son is having a tough time. We also had some challanges those first few days, especially since we got the band on a Friday and much of it occured over the weekend. Our LO also had overheating. He ran hot to begin with, so I was prepared for some issues, but the heat rash freaked me out. I think that if I really would have embraced those first few days as an adjustment period, I would have been able to handle it better emotionally. Anyways, my son was in a DOC band, but I'm guessing the recommendations regarding overheating would be the same. Take it off regularly and towel dry his head. Don't keep the helmet off for long periods of time though, because he really does need to adjust. We pretty much kept our son only in a onsie, and would sometimes go in late at night to cover him with a light blanket if it got noticably cold. We would also turn on his ceiling fan. They really need to be dressed lightly. His body will adjust and then things may be different, but for now, keep him cool and you will get through it! H. Guest guest
Christy: The first two weeks my son was in his StarBand were terrible with sweat. It does get better. However, as summer approached (July and August)our ortho drilled holes into the Starband for air circulation. It made a huge difference. ~ Mom to Noah Starband Grad 3 months > > > I have a quick question. I have heard some talk about sweating once > they get in the band. Guest guest
What does Dr. Brownstein say about what? Steph Sweating This issue of extreme sweating is important. My daughter uses Armour, added Cortef (5mg/day) and got the same reaction. What do you experts say? Does Brownstein address this, anyone? Guest guest
Kathy, I know prednisone can make you sweat. Are you on any pred? I take a 5 mg tab and I would always sweat. I'm now on an Hormone replacement patch and I don't have that problem. Hugs..paula In a message dated 7/26/2010 6:08:28 P.M. Guest guest
Hi Kathy - A lot of med's can cause that and it can Mean nothing but U shld discuss the issue at Ur next doc visit. Sweating can be related to a range of a lot of other issues- ranging from diabetis to menapause- to even thyroid, etc. Just make sure your doc is awhare of all your issues, etc. in SC Sent from my iPhone On Jul 26, 2010, at 1:56 PM, " philtymom " <philtymom@...> wrote: Is this a side effect of meds? Guest guest
Hi Group: I am not sure, but I was flaring with the RA and hot flashing at the same time. Not sure of the ages of the people complaining about sweating, but if you are not pre-menopausal or undergoing menopause, certainly around the time of your monthly menses you will sweat more coupled with RA flares. I notice no men complaining about sweating (or are you guys??) It is HORRIBLE to PMS or hotflash and flare at the same time. If calgon could take me away, that would be the time - L0L:)) Worse, you can be in airconditioning set to freezing and still be sweaty hot and miserable! OKD
Guest guest
Thank you for your answeres. No I am not on pred. Taking Methotrexate, folic acid, bp meds, cymbalta and vyvanse. I will tell my dr about it as my Mom had diabetes. Thanks again for your responses. Kathy
Guest guest
never connected tramadol and sweating but I can see that now... I tried to stay off tramadol for about a month in June and just started it back up recently.... I have definitely been sweating a ton more since going back on them so perhaps the tramadol is the med that is making me sweat.

Guest guest
Hi , When undermedicated it is more common to have a lack of sweating, but too cI feel is probably part of the inability to properly temperature regulate- so we feel too hot when it is hot and too cold when it is cold. Can also be an indicator of over or inappropriate thyroid medication. > thyroid treatment > From: tanyaking32@...> Date: Sun, 5 Sep 2010 10:38:12 +0000> Subject: sweating> > does any one suffer with times when they sweat inappropriately?> .x> > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Guest guest
, This is a bit of an issue for me also. I'm not medicated at all, and would describe myself as 'under' active, very low t4, but no diagnosis as tsh in range, even though I've had thyroid surgery etc. I used to think it was hot flushes, and fair to say, pre-menopause I didn't sweat until it was 200 degrees in the shade. However, years beyond the menopause now, I simply run hot, and agree with , I can't seem to regulate body temperature at all. Exactly as she stated, if I get cold, I can't warm up. Overall, I'm hot though. Interesting? > > does any one suffer with times when they sweat inappropriately? > .x >
Guest guest
I am 35yr old male now and allways get/have hot and clammy hands. When i was 13-22 i used to sweat a lot under my arms.. i always used to cover it up with two tops etc. I have been on Nature throid for 4 months (now 3 grains) and am not sweating much. Thinking of introducing some HC too. When i last introduced HC and was on straight T3 i got sweaty armpits just like i used to do as a teenager. > > does any one suffer with times when they sweat inappropriately? > .x >

Guest guest
I'm a 57 year old woman and have only recently been diagnosed by Dr. P with an autoimmune hypothyroid. I never used to sweat, but now I do. Also, in the mornings I'm usually really hot, but it tends to wear off by lunchtime. Very strange. I never used to be hot at all, quite the reverse! I now know the reason.. also can't stand the cold, extremes are a real problem! Guest guest
What's your oestrogen level Miriam. Perhaps you are actually low in oestrogen - which can cause hot flushes too. I also considered 'starting to sweat' good as it showed my metabolism was starting to function more normally again - at least, that's the way I looked at it. Luv - Sheila I have been having hot flushes (for the last 20 years), and haven't found Serenity to make much, if any, difference, though it has improved my sleep. They seem to be related to low blood sugar, and I am still working on that problem. There can be lots of factors involved so there are many different things to try. :-( http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/wiki/Hypoglycaemia_-_the_full_story I have recently started being able to sweat, but it is not excessive. I feel that is a good thing as it helps with detoxification. , when you say " inappropriate " sweating, do you mean excessively, or simply at random times?
