Guest guest
I don't want winter here either! Iwas really cold out this morning then got really hot humid and windy, The wind still has not calmed down. Do you have any thing else for your pain you can take? Have you ever tried Lunesta? That is what I take. It lets me sleep realy well and not feel sedated in the morning. It is non narcotic I guess. the stuff you are taking does the opposite to me it would keep me awake. Do you normally take 4 at bedtime? Lori H --------------------------------- Need a vacation? Get great deals to amazing places on Yahoo! Travel. Guest guest
I take that also it works pretty well for me. I also have Vicodin. Well I hate to abandon you but I really need to get some rest. I get up a few times in the nite, I will check on ya. It has been pretty quiet on here tonite. Take care hun try and get as much rest as you can, when you get your tramadol that should also help you. I will check on you later or in the morning ok? Sometimes if you just go lay there and start thinking of that pretend place you all have been talking about. Plan it out let your mind wander think about what you would do in that place. day dream I guess is what I call it and relax and alot of times My mind gets so wrapped up in that I just grift off and do not even remember falling asleep. Sometimes I even use numbers teach myself to count by 4's then 5's, etc...... you just do not realize how much that wears your mind out. I try all different kinds of things. Stress tapes. You just have to be creative and do not panic if you cannot sleep,if you do that you are done. I have learned the hard way. Listen to me rambling on you probably think I am a nut case. I swear I am not. I just learned that I can over come alot of that panic when I could not sleep. Just plan your pretend place! I think i will do the same and you can tell me about it tomorrow ok? Guest guest
Well...get some sleep for the rest of us then ; ) LOL I actually can't wait for winter...it is dry...no allergies and everyone else slows down to my pace of life : D I had a friend's husband that had a bad experience with Lunesta. He'd drive in his sleep...once almost off a dock. She'd hide his keys from him at night until the doctor saw him again. I know everyone has different experiences, but it's something to keep in mind. I have Darvocet & Flexeril for night, but sometimes I end up feeling so good it is hard to sleep...I love trying to explain this affliction to those with more closed minds : P My daughter talked to the P.A. about that today. > > I don't want winter here either! Guest guest
Jane, I have always wondered how the school systems would deal with fibro. All of my kids are out of school now. But I would think it would be very very interesting! Sorry, I got sleepy on you two last nite. It had been a really long day. Alot of the others would laugh at us as we say things slow down in the winter where we live. Which they really do and I live in a college town so the students are back and in the way as usual. But most of the others live in bigger busier cities that may slow down in winter but our summers even though they seem busy to us may be slow and boring to them. I hope your daughter gets through this okay. I think I have actually had this through my teens. My mothers Aunt was constantly on pain meds mom said she had to take a pill to get up in the morning and another to go to sleep at nite she was always hurting. One time in a heated debate about fibro with my mother I said how do you know Aunt Mildred didn't have this and my Grandma Alice who eventually died of Alzheimer's. She got quiet then and actually did say your right no one ever knew what was really wrong with my aunt. I don't drive after my Lunesta. You mean he would just get the desire to take off in a car and drive? That's scary! Like you said these meds we are on affect everyone differently. I take Lyrica and would swear by it for the pain. But it can make you hungry and gain weight. So there are pros and cons to that drug also. Again you are right it is fun to try and explain fibro to someone. They just sit and look at you like you are a nut case. I am surprised though at the amount of people that have heard of fibro. My nurse at my GP says she goes on line and studies info on fibro. You do not hear that often at all. I thanked her for that. Cripes my rhuemies nurses treat me like crap and he is the nearist fibro specialist. Sometimes I go in there for my appointments and I feel like I have to defend myself. That is not right. Lori H --------------------------------- Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha!
