Thought the " NavyGoat " might relate to a US Navy ship's " Goat Locker " , hmmmm? My dad was a CPO during Pearl Harbor attack in WW2. I'm just a Navy brat showing her age... grin! Now, on to your Cinnamon question: Are you a hot tea drinker? I add a little cinnamon to my hot tea, its really delicious. Joe Muggs, the coffee shop in the Books-a-Million chain of book stores has a tea that they offer that is called " Bombay Chai Tea " it has cinnamon in it. It's great. I'm sorry, I don't remember the exact brand name (it may be Joe Muggs Brand) but you could add a little cinnamon to regular or decaf tea and get a similar affect. I also use cinnamon in plain yogurt with Spenda and in plain Soy Milk too. A dash on sliced peaches or sweet potato, if you can eat them once in a while, is also very good. I can usually get away with eating a little oatmeal in the mornings and if I'm out of cinnamon I don't bother eating the oatmeal. Someone also mentioned using it on chicken... ummmmm, yes, that's great too. I've even added it to egg salad with celery and a dash or mayo. Just experiment, if you enjoy the flavor of cinnamon you'll be surprised at the things it can enhance. Amazing that something that tastes so good can be good for us too. My Doctor generally tells me " if it tastes good, spit it out " , but cinnamon he whole heartedly approves of. I graduated from the Naval Academy in 19.. oh well, lets just say is was well after the " age of sail " . Of course our mascot was the Navy Goat. I am reminded by my dear wife that I resemble (or act like) an old goat --- she can't understand why I take that as a compliment! Thanks for the hints on fitting cinnamon into a low carb plan. , Charlotte NC T2, diet & exercise
