I had a busy day, starting with a bone density scan, then my Remicade

infusion and my RA doc appointment during the infusion.

The news from the scan was really good. I've been on Prednisone for a year

and 4 Mtx a week for almost that long. But I line dance three nights a week and

I think that is what keeps the bone density in my hips and back.

The RA Doc gave me a cortisone shot in my right shoulder, in which the pain

never seems to go away. I found out I like the infusion nurse better on

Wednesday, but I was kind of tired after the infusion and needed to teach my

class.

It has come to my attention that I should have had a pneumonia shot before I

started the Remicade. Twice doctors have been ready to give it, but when I

said I was feeling fatigued and slightly nauseous, they changed their minds.

My PC doc said when I have a good day, I could just stop in and get the

shot. She said although it is not a live vaccine, it can make you feel kind of

bad.

I forgot to ask the RA doc when in my Remicade cycle would be the best for

the pneumo shot -- or if it matters.

I can email him with the question, but wondered if anyone had any experience

with it.
