I was interested in hearing you talk about the South Beach diet. I bought

the book about a month ago to jump-start me losing the few pounds that I've put

on the last few months. A very interesting book. I stuck pretty close last

week but my son came in on Friday and I lost momentum. But I'm going to give

it another try - the first 2 weeks are pretty restricted carb-wise but still

not like Atkins. And I was told by my CDE that diabetics shouldn't use Atkins -

not enough carbs. Low carb is fine but too low isn't good - we do need some

carbs to be able to function well (my opinion). I eat too low and I get

strange - slip into melancholy and cry a lot - almost like when I don't eat

right.

Weird. Please let me know how the South Beach is doing for you, and I will

check Yahoo about the lists for it - just to hear what others say.

BTW, I just moved to sville from Phoenix - lived there for 48-1/2 years.

My son graduated from UofA last Dec. and I graduated a very long time ago

from ASU (go Devils!!). The desert is beautiful but I sure don't miss the heat.
