Hi Diane,

I had to do the same thing about signing my life away. I'm also on Morphine

Sulfate 20mgs. two times a day and Percocet for break thru pain. With taking

these it keeps my pain at 6 to 7. But I am so glad to be able to function

alittle better than what I was.

Take care,

Hi all, when I went for my second visit with the new rheumatologist I

was surprised at the treatment to say the least.

I told him about the requip and that it woke me up and didn't help me

sleep. I told him I was on duragesic patches 100 mg every three days,

but it did nothing. I have had people tell me that nothing will help

my pain if duragesic doesnt.

The doc took me off the duragesic and put me on Morphine sulfate 30mg

twice a day with lortab for break thru pain. I had to sign my life away

but I don't mind, I don't go to other doctors for the purpose of

obtaining narcotics and I use the same drugstore all the time. I don't

even mind having blood tests or urine tests to make sure I am not taking

medication I am not supposed to.

I didn;t think that the morphine was going to work either after the

second day of intense pain, but then all the soreness went away and I

wasn't taking as many lortab as I had been. One day if I didn't do

anything at all and my pain level was a 4 the lowest it has ever been

since the Fibro and spinal stenosis started.

Different meds work on people in different ways. I just hope this isn't

a remission and next week or tomorrow the pain will be back with a

vegerence and the morphine doing no good.

I go back to him on the 12th of the month and I hope that he is going to

do the facet (sp) joints I am not sure what that is am going to look it

up. If it will help my hands and hips I will be glad to get anything.

the baby is crying so I have to go. Hope all of you a good nights rest

and low or no pain.

Diane

Boy, I would be happy if my rheum gave me a Durgesic patch! My

strongest med is Darvocet N100 and it doen't isn't helping this

weekend. I will call and to see if it's ok if I can see him sooner than

Nov.

Hello Wyndi,

In response to your request, I wanted to share with you the meds.

that

I take for FMS. My new doctor immediately took me off Methadone and

replaced it with Duragesic Patches (Fentanyl), Percocet for break

threw pain and Lyrica for " skin pain. " I'm not totally pain free, but

this combination seems to help. I'm able to get up and move around my

house. I've even been able to do a little bit more than usual when it

comes to housekeeping or sewing. The small Salonpas Patches are

helpful, but at times they don't get the job done either. I use the

LARGE Salonpas with capsacin. If I don't need the whole patch, I cut

it in squares big enough to cover a specific area. I'm trying a new

product by Avon. It's an external cream with Celadrin. I'm not sure

if

it works yet, as I just started using it. Avon also has a new cream

for arthritic feet. I just ordered that today. I have arthritis in my

feet too.

I hope that some or all of this info. helps you in your search for

relief from pain.

Bobbi
