I remember those books. Originally it was a single book, but later they

broke it down into seperate books for each blood type. Some of the

stuff is ok and some of it seems a bit farther fetched. It did cause me

to find out both pineapple juice and lemon juice tend to -settle- my

stomach.

The basics behind the book is that if your ancestors were agrarian then

they developed one blood type and if they were hunters then they

developed another blood type. As these ancestors moved around and

intermarried diets changed. However, your blood type still has a

genetic basis back to the original diet and certain foods are better for

that blood type and other foods are bad for that blood type.

Anyway, it's still interesting to look at the food lists for you blood

type and see what it says. Check out the list of bad foods and see if

you eat a lot of it. See what the stuff is supposed to do for you and

if you have that problem. If so, you can try cutting down on it and see

if things improve. Also check out the foods that are good for you. See

if you are eating them. Try eating something you don't normally eat and

see if it helps with anything.

Anyway, it's more of something that I play with rather than treat as a

bible.

I don't think the 'Eat Right 4 Your Blood Type " has been endorsed by

any medical or scientific group. I am all for " eating right " , I just

think it has nothing to do with your blood type, astrological sign,

or zip code. I would put more faith in diet guidelines from my CDE,

the Joslin Center, or ADA.

This is interesting as I am just pre-diabetic and for the last few years I

cannot tolerate anything with vinegar in it and don't use it. I am

O-Positive.
