Welcome! You have found a great place, full of supportive and

informative women. There are many women here who have had the

lap/hyst surgery.

I just had my septum resected last Friday (2/14) and Cyn and Jeanne

are having theirs within the next 2 weeks (2/25 and 3/4). I ended up

having a hyst only, the doctor was planning on doing the lap also, but

felt he could get my septum with the hyst alone. I had a large septum

that took up much of the space in my uterus, and was probably the

reason for my m/c last Sept. I still need to schedule a follow-up

appointment for early April, where the RE will do a sonohysterogram

(SHG) to make sure that septum is gone.

Presuming all looks good, my RE said that we could ttc after 1 cycle

also, but I am on estrogen therapy for 4 weeks, followed by 10 days of

progesterone after which I will get my first AF in what will be 2

months by then. I haven't decided if we will start to ttc that cycle

or wait one more to be extra careful (leaning towards that) but we'll

see.

If you have any other questions, feel free to post or e-mail any of us

directly. I have found *incredible* support on this board while

dealing with all this and I hope you will too.
