and my father especially has had good results with it. He is type

2, and his tygliserides were especially high, and his doctor had

recommended he begin taking a statin. He wanted to avoid

medication, so he tried the fish oil, and it has brought his levels

down alot. I don't know his " before and after " numbers, but can

find out, if anyone is curious about what kind of decrease is

involved. FYI, he is 78, and controls his T2 with diet and exercize.

will find out what they are and let you know. But it was a

significant enough decrease that the doctor dropped his insistence

that he take medication. My parents- maybe it's a generational

thing, are very anti-medication. While I certainly agree it may be

best to try other solutions first, for a problem, but they are both

very stubborn. For example my mom has osteoporsis, but refused to

even consider medication, because she " might " have side effects,

like insommnia!! Even after she fell and shattered her wrist in

June, she still won't consider it. Very frustration, and nerve

wracking, for me, and my brother's and sister.

capsules (like the vitamin E ones)- horse pills my sister calls

them!! I will find out the dosage and post that info in a day or

so, and ask my father how the dosage was decided upon,
