i have and i hate it. the smallest i remeber being was when i enter the 12 grade in 96 and i was 120. i think a boyfriend dumped me or something- i went on slim fast or something. now they flip if you do that in school lol. but then i went on birthcontrol and went up to 165.

i am trying to remeber what i was when i had austin in 99- i am thinking 175-80 ish. lost 30 pounds but it all came back with in a month. mya i was about 185-195 in my ninth month. none came off at all.... but i think that is all one big fibro flare. during my pregancy- i became very very ill- was on pain killers after my 3 month. everyone thought that was best- the stress of being in pain 24-7 my ob said would be worse.

that was 2004.

now i am almost 215 ish. 2 weeks ago i went in for my weekly check and i gained almost 8 pounds in a week. omfg i was crushed....but we found out threw testing the week before that my thyroid is so outta wack. i have a goiter and some thing little things there. now i am waiting for the thyroid docs to call me back- it might take them weeks alone just to call me back. i hate doctors...

ok i am off to put my kids in the rooms or i might crack lol. been one of those days lol

I was always very thin. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 32 ( I'm 53 now) and fibro 10 years ago. The meds for the asthma deficiently put weight on and I have not been able to get rid of it. Also 10 Years ago I was diagnosed with lymes. I have degenerative disc disease, sever arthritis. I really believe the medicines are causing me not to lose weight.

My regular med is handling my fibro. He is very much against pain meds. I am taking tramadol but its pretty much useless. He tells me "I'm thinking you go on a diet and exercise". I almost slapped him.

Let me explain I tried the anti depressants when I was diagnosed. They were terrible. The pain was no better but I woke up with a hang over every morning. So I pretty much suffer. The weight stays the same. 215lbs. I can get down to 200 but if I have an asthma problem I go right back up.

God Bless you and yours

God Bless America

Love ya,

Gail

-- Re: About weight

I haven't experienced any extreme weight gain... I have been fat allmy life. However, I have noticed that it is EXTREMELY difficult for meto lose any weight since the fibromyalgia has become full blown. Ihave tried many different diets, walking, etc and still can not loseany of the weight. My goal for the new year is to start using arebounder daily and to do Pilates' in the hopes of at least toning up. N.>> I was wondering if any of you have experienced an extreme > weight gain since fibro attacked you.
