Guest guest
Welcome Steph. I've only had one flare up of costochondritis and one was enough because I thought I was having a heart attack. I live around Ft Wayne, Indiana. This group is a big help. Again, welcome! Jayne > > Hi all!!! I'm Steph, 32 y/o, from the Detroit area. Guest guest
Welcome Steph!! I'm sure you'll enjoy this group as there are many caring and intelligent members. I am continually learning and finding support when I need it. Welcome again A Canadian Fibro Friend sugaboo1974 wrote: Hi all!!! I'm Steph, 32 y/o, from the Detroit area. I subscribed to this board a while ago, I'm an occasional lurker, but the post I made the other day was the first. I developed Costochondritis 16 years ago after an auto accident and as is quite common with Costo sufferers, I began to have Fibro symtoms, but they did not start until about 5 years ago...between dealing with the Costo, a new job, and all the other aspects of life, I was overextended and couldn't deal with anything else so I was seriously in denial about the Fibro until I could no longer ignore it. I was formally diagnosed 2 years ago... I get a lot of support from the Costo board, but I am really looking forward to meeting new people with new ideas!!! 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Thank you both for the warm welcome!! I think that I'm going to like it here Jayne, I just got caught up on posts and read what's happening. That had to be a horrific experience and I'm sorry to hear that you're reliving it again and that you're boss isn't being very understanding, fortunately, it seems as though you have people here who will be!!! Hope things get easier for you!!! Hugs, Steph > Hi all!!! I'm Steph, 32 y/o, from the Detroit area. Guest guest
Thank you Steph. By Tuesday night, I was so tired of my supervisor and her attitude toward me that I called off work Wednesday. I had a great day not being at work and I didn't care that my absence counted against me. I found the perfect t-shirt to wear for my supervisor. There is a devil on it holding a bat and it says, " I wish you were a pinata. " I laughed so hard, bought it, went home and washed it, and wore it to work today. LOL. Anyway, it was a fantastic day and go my mind off of everything. Thanks again Steph! Jayne > > Hi all!!! I'm Steph, 32 y/o, from the Detroit area.
