VERY VERY OT! Others disgusted by belly (prg ment)

Hi Ladies,

this is very very off topic, so any replies should be made to me at

my personal email address, to keep this list clutter free. I was

just having a very bad day here today, and I wanted to ask if

anyone else has experienced people who seem to be disgusted

by your pregnancy and/or your belly?

Now, maybe it's just that I work around a lot of people who are

young and have no kids and who haven't even THOUGHT about

kids yet, but I've had several people say OUT LOUD that while

they like me as a friend, it's kind of gross to see my belly. They

said it's gross to think about something alive in there. And that

it's gross because it's a firm belly, not squishy, as it would be if I

were just fat.

I also wear really baggy clothes, mostly big maternity shirts or my

hubby's shirts--so baggy, you can't even see that my belly button

sticks out. We are not talking lycra here!

I'm trying not to be hurt, but I feel like everyone must be looking at

my stomach and thinking " gross! " Has anyone at ALL ever had

anything like this?
