hahaha I begged and pleaded from the group to help keep me sain. It did not

really hit me until the night before surgery. Just keep thinking about the

weight dropping off right after surgery. I lost 20 lbs my first week. That was

very motivating. Best wishes and CONGRATULATIONS! You cannot fight the nerves,

just keep busy.

Hi Everyone,

I finally found out my surgery date last week it's for May 22.

This whole process only started in March so i've been lucky. It seemed like I

was waiting forever and the day would never come. The funny part now is that

im getting so nervous all of a sudden. I definitely want this so that's not a

question. I'm not nervous about the lifestyle change i'm worried about

surgery. What did you do to calm your nerves?

Thanks! I had laprascopic. I only mentioned the weight loss so that you will be

more motivated then nervous hahahahah I hope it helped.

This is wonderful news.

I went shopping and held up small size clothing that I only dreamed I

could wear. That's not just a fantasy now.

Keep your eye on the prize. Thats what my mom tells me when school

gives me headaches and on the days I wanted to drive over to Dairy

Queen. I never knew losing weight could bring me happiness and good

times like normal girls do.

Be confident about a positive outcome. I read that in one of the

informational posts here. Dont stress what you have no control over.

If you trust your surgeon why be nervous? Think good thoughts about

your new life and all the happiness youll find in your healthier

future.

LOL Bridget the clothes thing is sooooooo true!!!!! I had a friend

give me a pair of her size 9 jeans that she no longer fit into. She

came to the hospital the day after my surgery and gave them to me. At

the time I thought it was a nice gesture but that there was NO way

they would ever fit me!! LOL they don't fit me!! They are now too

big!! :)

Hugs!!

I am glad you are doing so well Debrana. The way the message showed up it says

that your last name is Thalman. Is that correct? That is my last name so I was

wondering if it ran my last name with your's. Anyways, happy to hear your happy.

Best wishes and look forward to sharing this journey with you.
