I also SEE mice.... well, I'll " see " a scurrying shadow.... and it isn't

necessarily real, either. I CAN tell when it's just the shadow and when it

is real. My " senses " ... 6th? 7th? ... are very acute, almost uncanny.

I smell things no one else smells - it is driving me and my family nuts. They

are never good smells. It has become the joke of the house - the kids and

hubby take bets on what I'll say when I walk in the house - we have 3 dogs

and my husband is a neatnik - but I can " smell " the dogs and no one else can.

We bathe the poor beasties constantly - interesting to hear others smell

things too.

It's not a spooky, scary, " I hear dead people " kind of hearing things

and the voices

don't tell me

to kill people or anything bizarre. In fact, I usually can't even make

out what is being

said.

Usually.

Hi Gang,

This one hits home for me. I don't see dead people, but I certainly hear

radios that

aren't playing.

My radio thing normally happens at night, or when things are quiet in

the house. It

doesn't happen as

often as it used to :-) I thought I was the only one that heard things

like that. lol

My tinnitus is

much louder now though, so that may mask the people in my head.

I smell mice when no one else can smell them. I can always tell when we

have a mouse in

the house. They

just laugh at me until they see the darned thing, and then they still

say I am nuts, you

can't smell

mice.

So, I can hear, and I can smell, my vision just stinks!

I can't tell if mine are mice or spiders. I thought I was the only one that

saw " shadows " . I should have known it was the infamous Chiari Monster at

work. My sense of smell has always been very acute. My husband now knows

that if I smell something, it's there!

>I also know the sound of my husband's car from a block away. When I sit on

my front porch, I'll tell my neighbor, here comes my husband, and there's no

cars in sight. Then my car will come around the corner in a couple of

minutes. My neighbor is amazed by this.<

I know the sound of the UPS truck! And the squeal of the mailman's

brakes... I'm sure my keen sense of hearing has something to do with eagerly

awaiting my Country Peddler packages!!!

Oh, my sense of smell is extraordinary as well. The gas thing.. count me

in! I know when there's a fire, someone cooking, etc.. Makes it hard to live

in a house with several pets and 3 kids! Guess we'd be good people to work

for one of those agencies that employee people to smell things! At least

something works good with us!

Never really thought about the smell thing. I can smell gas before

anyone else does in the house. I also forgot about hearing the TV

and it is not on.

I had a test done not long ago by my neurologist

where he stuck the needles in my muscles to see what my nerves were doing, and I

literally broadcasted a local radio station... does that count? =)
