Guest guest
don't know if anyone else has noticed this but i am something of a media wolf (i read EVERYTHING) and lately there has just been a flood of negative press about both the autism-vaccine connection and detoxification remedies, painting us in a very foolish lightwithout so much as an iota of evidence or even countertestimony. anyone else have a theory for why suddenly now? aviva
Guest guest
making us look like we're clueless could potentially garner support for healthcare " reform " and moving to centralized health care. In addition, Obama is a supporter of the world organizations.. and they are all pro vaccinations, pro standard heath care and anti anything alternative health. Make the alternate health ppl look like a bunch of ignorants and support for the standard medical practice will increase. or at the least no one will take out objections seriously because the media will have labeled us as 'crackpots " plus.. most ppl who are against vaccinations believe in managing health with nutrition... but the FDA has decided that's no possible----that only drugs can treat and heal disease, not nutrition. We know better so the FDA has to make us look stupid to try and save their monopoly. .... just a theory... yvette detoxification remedies, painting us in a very foolish lightwithout so much > as an iota of evidence or even countertestimony. > anyone else have a theory for why suddenly now? > aviva > > [N >

Yeah, I think that's part of it. There's also a big economic issue here. Healthcare is one industry that won't suffer in times of recession...as long as the majority tows the line with ineffective western medicine, there will be sick people to treat and jobs for those " treating " them. I saw an article a while back, maybe 6 weeks ago or so, that said people are increasingly turning to alternative remedies, especially in times of tight budgets. I can't remember the exact statistics, but I was pleasantly surprised at the numbers. The onslaught may be trying to counteract that. I think we need to be especially careful these days in seeking *any* care from western medicine. I personally know people who have been threatened with losing their health insurance if they don't comply with drugs or treatments that have been recommended by a doctor. Lovely. Guest guest
I know what that's like... I had an asthma attack about a year ago, and when I refused prednisone, the local hospital refused to treat me and shipped me by ambulance to another facility... 35 minutes away AND had he tagged for ICU even though I didn't need that level of care. My insurance refused to pay for it. I found out later the dr at my local hospital KNEW the insurance wouldn't pay for the transfer or the ICU and she transfered me because I said I can't take prednisone. now.. keep in mind that I have been told by several past doctors not to take prednisone ever again because of a side effect called prednisone induced psychosis. I had it happen once, and supposedly once it happens it's considered a potential fatal side effect. (yes, you become psychotic and have little to no memory of it after the incident) I was able to talk to my insurance and get it covered, AND the dr who pulled this no longer works in our little hospital, but that's not the point. Glad you were able to work it out with your insurance! I worry about this stuff not just for me, but for my kids as well...unvaccinated and don't use western medicine aside from a yearly checkup for them (gotta toe the line there, don't want my ex to ever use it against me). I don't have any intentions of needing health insurance for anything MS-related, but what if I get in a car accident? Or one of my kids falls out of a tree and breaks an arm? I can't imagine piling up that kind of debt for an ER bill just because I wasn't willing to shoot myself up with a CRAB drug. ugh Crystal
