Tip of the Day

Fight Fatigue With Vitamin C

Feeling sluggish at the gym? You may be experiencing the

effects of vitamin C deficiency.

A recent study of adults in an outpatient clinic showed

that a whopping 30% of the patients had depleted blood

vitamin C levels. One of the first symptoms of vitamin C

depletion is fatigue. In a related study, the same

researchers studied a group of people with low vitamin C

levels. Those who received vitamin C before a workout

exercised more efficiently than those who received a

placebo. Vitamin C is found in fruits and vegetables such as

oranges, sweet peppers, strawberries, and even potatoes.

RealAge Benefit: A daily intake of up to 1,000 milligrams of

vitamin C from food and supplements can make your RealAge as

much as 1 year younger.
