Guest guest
Angie, I lost 15lbs in 2 days after I was home from the hospital from giving birth. It was 3 days postpartum that I weighed and then 5days. I'm certain it was fluid weight. My first thought when I read your post is that 6lbs would be a non uncommon response from a body with a lot to lose. I would also think that you won't be doing that sort of loss each day, perhaps it's fluid release for you, as well. If you are eating healthy and consuming enough calories to sustain your body's functioning, then you are doing the right thing. If it were me, I'd consider checking with doc if the rapid weightloss continued for more than a few days. Diabetics can lose weight because their bodies aren't getting the nutrients like glucose into the cells. Can be potentially a serious problem. Guest guest
Funny you should ask about the vision thing. I wear glasses for distance, and when I first got them in january or febuary my sight was crystal clear with them on. Now I notice that distances are getting fuzzy, and I need more light when doing things. I just noticed the change in my eyes here recently, and didn't think to tell the doctor. I don't think it is common for sight to get that bad that quickly. I was getting tests for s Disease at first, but the doctor ruled that out. I told him about being thirsty all the time, urinating at the drop of a hat, so he decided to test me for diabetes. I just wish I could get the results and either start meds, or just get on with things. I am not looking forward to having to test myself, and possibly take an insulin shot. From all that I have read type 1 usually happens earlier in life and the symptoms are more extreme. So if this is diabetes then it is more likely type 2.
