Guest guest
And what's wrong with bacon/eggs/sausage? There are so many ways to cook eggs, and so many kinds/flavors of sausage that one can hardly become bored. But if you want something different, how about ham? Too expensive for everyday, but now and again how about steak for breakfast? Of course, there's always tofu. suggestions for lowcarb breakfasts I need some suggestions for low carb breakfasts. Anything over 15g of carbs seems to up my sugar. I'm also wanting to give 14 mo baby higher protein breakfasts, but she can't have dairy (like cottage cheese). Any thoughts other than bacon/eggs/sausage? Guest guest
> Any thoughts other than bacon/eggs/sausage? I've been munching one of the Atkins Advantage bars for breakfast. I needed something quick (since I leave the house at 4am and don't really feel up to breaky then) so I eat once I'm at work. I've found that I can exclude my morning Glyburide 5mg when I work out for 30 mins and eat one of these bars. They have 2g net of carbs (since they exclude fibre and sugar alcohols. They are 200 calories. They taste pretty good too. Probably not good for the little one, but may be an alternative for you. ~ Jayd
Guest guest
One of my favorite breakfasts (or even deserts) meals is when I mix up a half litter of 10% yougurt with some fresh fruit, a little DaVinci's sugar free flavored syrup and a few nuts (sliced almonds are my favorite). The flavor combinations are endless, fresh peaches with DaVinci's blueberry, frozen strawberries with DaVinci's Peach... When I'm able to get my hands on some I also add a little Gram's Gourmet Flax 'n Nut Crunchies (Cinnamon Toast flavore) or Protein Crunch Cereal (with cranberries). 3/4 of a cup will tie me over well. For those looking for a creat low carb gram cracker pie crust, the Protein Crunch Cereal is an amazing replacement. Especialy for my wife's cheese cake. Gotta go, hungry now.
