I used it for about three years. I'm now using Aderma Septalibour, which I like much better. It's more soothing and seems to clean better than Cetaphil. I also find that filling the basin with tepid water and splashing with the same soapy water 20 times, then rinsing 10 times with tepid tap water does a good job at removing makeup, oil, etc. Once a week, I use Erno Laszlo Sea Mud Mask for deeper cleaning, which is non-abrasive and makes my skin feel like silk for a few days afterward. I find now that if I don't use it every week, my skin suffers. Guest guest
Has anyone tried Cetaphil lotion (rather than the cream or cleanser). It's newer and I wondered if anyone had experience with it (good or bad). Guest guest
Hi Sherry, I tried Cetaphil Lotion when I was first diagnosed. My derm recommended the cleanser and the lotion, but the lotion made me break out terribly. I itched shortly after putting it on, and couldn't wash it off fast enough! I don't remember what the ingredients are now, but since we all react differently to things it might be okay for you. I think it is probably full of alcohol and maybe some kind of nut oil or something that would provoke a nasty reaction from my skin. Guest guest
My mom sent over Cetaphil moisturizing lotion when she sent the Cetaphil bar but I never used it on my face. It's so heavy and sticky. I can't even stand to have it on my hands. Guest guest
I think it has caused problems for a few people. I think there are better things out there for most of us. Guest guest
In my market they only have cetaphil lotion ( moisturizor) and the cleanser ( like a soap) and the bar. I use the bar at night because after i wet my face, i can lather it and it will remove my foundation on my face. In the am i use the cleanser( liquid) because it removes any oil and does not make my face dry. If i use the bar in the am and pm it makes my face dry. just putting in my 2cents. susan Cetaphil LOTION >Has anyone tried Cetaphil lotion (rather than the cream or cleanser). >It's newer and I wondered if anyone had experience with it (good or >bad). > >Sherry > > >------------------------------------------------------------------------ >Explore the Web for sites in Health & Medicine from Looksmart! >http://clickhere./click/295 > > >eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support > - Simplifying group communications > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ eGroups.com home: /group/rosacea-support - Simplifying group communications
Guest guest
are you referring to the lotion or the bar, i have great success with the bar in the pm i wet my face then i lather the bar on my hands then i smooth it all over my face and rinse with tepid water many many times until i am clean!! the lotion i wet my face, then take a small dab the size of a dime and smooth it all over my face, when i put it on my palm to rub over my face it seems like there is nothing there but you can feel it on your skin, i only use the cleanse in the am and so i really do not have oily skin i just want to wash it to start off the day. susan Re: Cetaphil LOTION >My mom sent over Cetaphil moisturizing lotion when she sent the Cetaphil bar but I never used it on my face.
