Amen to that! Withdrawal from the prednisone, made me paranoid weeepy and achy--as if I needed more pain!

I have had to use prednisone in the past for poison ivy....my dear mother...the wretched so and so (kidding...) gave me a horrid tendency to get really bad poison ivy and the Dr just KNOWS I'll manage to find it somewhere (usually the cats rub it on me)....and I end up on prednisone....one time I got a second dose just as I was clearing up and had to start again with no break and I was having sleep disorders, attitude problems and getting paranoid.....it's nasty stuff!! Hi,

I have had the same experence has you. Just the other day my doctor about

syas the same thing. He said he doesn't understand fibro and doesn't see why

I am in all this pain. His nurse said I was acting like a 3 year old. I would

like for them to live in my body for just one day and they would understand

it.

I guess somepeople just don't understand it unless they can see it, but since

fibro is invisable they can't under stand why we are in pain. I have benn

crying all weekend except for parts of Sunday because Sunday was my 17th

anniversary. Yep to the same man. lol

Really having a rough time with all this.

insurance companies,gov't,etc.Have you tried Ultram? It's a synthetic

pain reliever,not a narcotic. I have some success with this,but I

also take 400mg.of Celebrex for my hands/wrists swelling and I have

Hydrocodone for flares. Thankfully,my Dr. believes that pain should

I can understand your anger--heck I share it . if this doctor has never

done a study on FMS how can she dare to make these remarks! I hope she

never gets it!!! I guess this is why I write congress man and so forth.

I worry about the number of children who are put on ritalin. It scares me. ly given the supreme court decision on HMOs, (I sent it another message) we are all in for a rocky time. passing out meds instead of solving the problem seems to be the way medicine is practiced.
