Guest guest
I can paint...the other stuff is beyond my comprehension. O well... Besides, my get-up-and-go, gets up and goes, at the mention of major chores. Tam
Guest guest
There would be lots of them... I wake up, go out and make sure the chickens are fed, check eggs and water. Feed the dogs... come in feed the daughter, feed myself, get ready to go. Head out to the gym. When done at the gym, I figure out if I need to stop at a store for anything before heading back home. Once home, I do laundry cleaning and work with daughter on learning her letters. We eat lunch. More cleaning and cooking dinner. If hubby is gone, then I need to be sure the cows have water and hay. I work in the very large garden that I have... I love it. Hmm... that is a generic run down on each day for me.... And hubby wonders what I do all day... Guest guest
Having read the works of the late Betty Mac, I can't see may way to raising chickens. Re: Re: OT ..okay then...sorta... Guest guest
Gee Bruce, I am sorry that you seem to be predisposed to living your life through others experiences, and never trying things for yourself. Try something new. Eat a potato. Pet a chicken. Heck, go to a small farm and watch someone's chickens for a while. Laugh and relax while doing it. They are a RIOT! Do something for yourself, rather than worry about having read about it in a book, and that ONE person had a bad experience, so you would think that everyone is going to have one. Angelia in OR who adores her chickens... even when she has to butcher the roosters.. ----- Original Message ----- > Having read the works of the late Betty Mac, I can't see may way to raising chickens. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Angelia R > > > There would be lots of them... > I wake up, go out and make sure the chickens are fed, check eggs and water. Guest guest
I'm sorry, but I have always been told that a moderately intelligent person learns from his own mistakes and a really intellegent person learns from OTHER people's mistakes. That, really, is the purpose of both science and history, is it not?
Guest guest
Angelia, do you have a Rottweiler? I have a Rottie and she is the sweetest, gentlest dog you could ever want. Well, let me re-phrase that. She has never even growled at any of my family but she has been totally protective of me. She never let a stranger in but after I allowed the people from meals on wheels into the yard she was O.K. with them. I guess she realized that they were bringing her " mama " some food. Now she is old (11 years) and unable to get around very good and I refuse to have her put to sleep. She's been too good to me and I just simply can't do that. I will continue to love and take care of her until one of us dies. I told the vet when I took her in last time that I'm sure when one of us goes the other one will be gone shortly. Hugs, Tootie _____ Try something new... There are many people that say to never have dogs, or to have rottweilers because they are evil. Both of mine are wonderful. It is all a perspective of life. If you want to live yours from other's perspectives, so be it... Angelia in OR who loves to try NEW things...
Guest guest
Neighbors behind us had a couple of rotweilers and a corgie (Picture this : corgie mama and rottie papa. =) Anyway, the rotties where huge. They were also friendly. Their property also backed upon a local church. The little kids used to play with her. They also had a huge male siamese cat that bullied both rotties.
