Guest guest
Hello all. I've been to see the neurosurgeon. After looking at the CINE report he says " No surgery. " He said he didn't think I actually had chiari -- although he's the one who brought it up in the first place a year ago. (?) Anyway, he says yes, my cerebellum is herniated but not symptomatic. He diagnosed me with " pseudo pseudotumor cerebri. " He may be right. We had a thorough discussion. He really went over the MRI's as well. Everything he said seems to make sense [he knows my prevous history and has worked with me before on other matters]. He was quite clear in his explanations, taking an hour to discuss options. He's one of the good ones, bless his heart. Sooo... I'm off to see the otolarygologist again. Perhaps I need the ear repair surgery again. Things seem to be heading down that path. Funny how so many of the symptoms overlap... chiari, PTC, fistulas (holes in ears)... We're not sure what to do with my " intermittent recurring " high intercranial pressure. (-: Yet another shade of gray -- actually I prefer rainbow... So, I'll take my leave and focus on the ear gig. A very warm, heart-felt thank you to ALL of you. Especially to those who have kindly written directly. You are an inspiration. A model of the human capacity to endure and adjust and continue to seek hope. Blessings to you all. Do take care, truly.
