Guest guest
Hi all, I went to the doc on the 1st. She doubled my glucophage and Avandia, also put me on a med for extremely high triglycerides and amitriptyline for foot pain and ankle numbness. Makes me sleep alot though, I didn't know that they used amitriptyline for neuropathy! I'm used to it as an antidepressant. I'm also extremely anemic, but she said the surgeons wouldn't even THINK of doing a hysterectomy until my blood sugars are under control! I'm going for a thyroid scan and pelvic ultrasound next week. Three days of testing to complete all that! The good news is that I've lost weight! When I was diagnosed on July 1st I weighed 88kg in the doctor's office. On August 1st, I weighed 81kg. So I lost 7kg! In English that figures to 15.4 pounds! I was really surprised by that! Now if I can only lose another 50 pounds! LOL! I felt like I lost, but it doesn't FEEL like that much. BTW, specific gravity usually refers to a urine sample.
