Guest guest
Hi Sheilia, Springfield where? I live in Newport,RI otherwise known as the city by the sea, the summer cottages for the rich. Unfortunately the local are not rich and struggle by in the service and tourist industy. Now we are starting to get our city back. The local are starting to go back down town where there are so many tourists that driving is impossible because the tourist walk in the street. It is a very beautiful place but I could still be called a carpet bagger because I was born in Providence, RI. My children and husband don't have that problem. I forget if my husband isI thiunk the 5th generation at least. RI is different than other places. We don't go very far without complaining. When I was in Jr High the kids left there part of the city called fith ward for the first time to attend the Jr High School. Our Island is only 19miles long one people complain if they have to drive or heaven forbid work in the town on the other end of the island. I usually joke with them and ask if their passport is valid. Well I better get off as my husband wants to go to sleep. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
Hi Judy, I am near Springfield, MO. We are 30 miles north of Branson, if you have heard it. Springfield is the main head quarters for Bass Pro Shops. They are suppose to be the No. 1 tourist attraction in MO. To us locals, it is just a large store. I know what you mean about the many tourists. The traffic is terrible. The Ozarks is also beautiful and peaceful out in the country.
