Guest guest
Stool guaiac is a test for blood in the stool. -- Need help rewording a sentence, please Guess it's Monday, because I'm obviously having bad day. Take a Monday and top it off with pouring down rain for a 45 mile (round trip) trip to drop off/pick up work and there ya have it. LOL Anyhow, doc dictates the following. I can't seem to figure out how to reword it as I don't think guaiacs is a word. " Two out of 3 stool guaiacs were positive for blood. " TIA,
Guest guest
Sorry, that was not understood by your question. I would say stool guaiac tests. -- Re: Need help rewording a sentence, please In a message dated 1/14/2002 3:08:48 PM Central Standard Time, njburk@... writes: Stool guaiac is a test for blood in the stool. Guest guest
Would stool guaiacs be especially wrong? I probably would have just typed it as dictated without even thinking about it, so I just wanted to check for future reference in case I ever have a situation like that. ----Original Message Follows---- Reply-To: " " To: , <nmtc >, Subject: Re: Need help rewording a sentence, please Date: Mon, 14 Jan 2002 13:35:50 -0800 (Pacific Standard Time) Sorry, that was not understood by your question. Guest guest
" Stool guaiacs " is slang for " stool guaiac tests. " It's certainly not wrong in informal communications. The question is whether the transcription is informal or formal. When it's going to become part of a patient record, it's formal. Isn't this list great for sharing knowledge? I have learned TONS of useful things by reading the messages. Valeria At 02:49 AM 1/15/2002, J. L. wrote: >Would stool guaiacs be especially wrong?
