Guest guest
This is a wild guess on my part but is minocillin a member of the Penicillen family. I havn't got a clue. Just wondering. Lyme being in the Spiralkeet family responds real well to it. But so many people are allergic to Penicillen (spelling). It is hardly ever Rx'd anymore. I have Psoriasis. However my LLMD looked at it and called it Yeast. Go figure. The pain pill has kicked in and curved the sharpness of the pain. Can you tell. Guest guest
I am a big baby about taking meds because my body is very sensitive to them and even to supplements--so I always read the patient warnings that the pharmacy gives you w/ the drug. And they often say that hives can be an allergic reaction and if that happens to stop the medicine and call the doctor. I did not realize that hives could be herxing. How do you tell if hives (not just itching, but hives) is a herx reaction or an allergic reaction? Margh

Have you had hives prior to lyme? Are you sure it is not a rash? When I herxed from this past round of meds, I got a rash on both elbows and one day on the inside of my thigh, and a few itchy hives in random places. I do not have a history of rashes or hives and I am not allergic to meds. I was easily able to descern it was a herx.

I many times (right now in fact) have red rashy mottled legs , from herxing due to diflucan ...BUT ....nothing is raised , nothing itches ...I am just in agony with pain ....especially in my left foot and ankle ...my (bad spot) ...can anyone tell me why it is that ONE or two spots REALLY HURT more than others ? The left hip, thigh and leg to foot ALWAYS bother me ..but more , much more during a herxheimer reaction ? Go figure ? So come on ..spill it ? What gives here ? Guest guest
I'm not allergic to medicines, and the only time in mylife I got hives was when I had a reaction to a hornet sting. I'm quite sure I haven't been stung. I've been on the meds for about 3 weeks, so I'd be surprised if it was that.... Anyhow, the only ohter thing thiscould be is poison ivy, but it's not the season, and the bumps and itching move around from place to place so I'm quite sure it's hives. REALLY uncomfortable! -----Original Message----- From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Sent: Saturday, December 03, 2005 12:45 PM Do you still have the hives? Do you have a history of allergies to meds? Guest guest
Have you tried aloe vera, an Epsom salt bath followed by coconut oil? Benadryl should also help as someone else mentioned-Rose > > > In a message dated 12/4/2005 3:21:50 A.M. Guest guest
Since I stopped all meds my skin is clearing up. The itching use to be terrible and may be neurapathy. The gambentin seems to be solving the problem. I know how uncomfortable/ annoying it is. Good luck. Raniolo From: diane crawford <nuttynurse25@...> Subject: [ ] hives?
