They reported their weight at the beginning of July and how many lbs they wanted to lose by the end of July. Each month, they set a goal of what they want to lose for the month. Yes, you can participate. It is open to anyone who wants to make a commitment to weight loss. You can either post your weight for Aug, or you can wait until I ask for weight loss and goals for Sept. I'm newly diagnosed Type 2 and so far my weight is hitting some real peaks and valleys as was very dehydrated when I was first diagnosed.. then started to carry extra weight due to edema... Right now I'm doing pretty good... so.... my goal is 8 lbs for this month... What else do you need to know? I went shopping this weekend and for the first time in about 10 years was able to buy a size 10!!!!! Yeah!!!!! Since I was diagnosed 14 months ago, I have lost 40 lbs. I had hoped to lose ALL the weight in 1 year, but have recently been put on BP meds that slow down weight loss. Hey, as long as the scale goes down, instead of up, I'l a happy camper. Got about 15 more to go and will then see how I look and feel. May need to lose more to keep my BGs as low as Eunice . That's my goal - to have BGs like Eunice!!!! Carole In Las Vegas. Guest guest Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 Hi Everybody, Well the weight this morning was 274 which is 6 pounds down on the month, which is 76 pounds down from the start and that is 62 pounds since diagnosis. I must admit I have found myself slipping a little in to the old ways and have had to do something about it. I suppose it's not surprizing after 40 years of bad eating habits to trip up occasionally, I just cannot go back to where I was. I know that sometimes it is slow. My weight right now is 288....and my goal for November is again 8 pounds......I hope to be at 280 by the end of this month. Good luck to everyone!! My goal for November will be a different goal, since I'm not feeling motivated or progressing toward the 215, I'm setting it to 210 for my goal for Nov. I may not make it, but I have to begin to think bigger in terms of completing goals, I've been too slacky lately. I'm taking the first steps in this goal by having ate a healthier lunch and I'm on my way to the grocery to purchase some fresh veggies/fruits.
